The MEINL Djembe Stand was designed to firmly hold any djembe in the traditional playing position. A nylon strap is secured around the drum and two rubber padded u-shaped hooks are slid into the bottom of the shell. It can be angled and is fully height adjustable.

As such, I was expecting that I would be pushing the limits of this stand.The stand has performed admirably. Yes, sometimes it is prone to walking across the stage under heavy playing (which can be prevented by creating a three "speed bumps" out of a couple layers of folded paper taped down with gaffer tape). It also gets pretty bouncy at times, but again - I'm putting a lot of drum on this stand. My only real complaint with this stand is that the height adjustment can be a bit of a pain, but once you get a height locked in you shouldn't have to mess with it very often. |
